Microdochium patch aka Fusarium patch

Ink painting/drawing of Microdochium patch aka Fusarium patch, caused by the fungus Microdochium nivale of annual bluegrass (Poa annua).

The painting shows a green area representing turf, with some individual blades of grass picked out in shades of darker green. A white, patch circle represents the fungal mycelia, surrounding a brown, dead region of grass. There is some green, healthy-looking grass in the centre of the circle.

This was a real challenge to draw! I had to work out how to stop it from looking like a bullseye/target.
