View from Seahouses

My mother took an incredible photo from the cliffs near Seahouses whilst on holiday. I painted it in oils.
The oil painting shows the Farne islands in the distance, across a grey-blue sea. The rocky beach is painted in shades of grey and brown, with rockpools reflecting the blue of the sky. Green grass grows in the midground. The rocks in the foreground are covered in white and yellow lichen, offset by the bright pink colour of sea thrift (Armeria maritima).
My favourite part of the painting is the little cluster of sea thrift at the very top-right of the painting.
