The painting shows a pea plant with three stipules, three compound leaves and six pea pods. Tan-colored circular lesions with a dark brown margin can be seen on the leaves, pods, and stipules. Additionally, elongated brown lesions are visible on the stem.

Pea plants are surprisingly difficult to draw! The stipules make them more challenging than other legumes.
