The similar layouts for these two images make it easier to compare the symptoms. Both diseases are characterised by brown lesions with chlorotic margins on the leaves and fruit. The viral lesions caused by citrus canker (left) have healthy-looking green centres, whereas the bacterial lesions (right) do not.
